To Linevegas we go...

On Sunday, we went back to Linevegas, in the snow, for Christmas festivities. It was a fun ride because there was ice on the road and it took us forever to get from our house to Lineville. Scruff was looking extremely cute this day, I think it was his hair, so I took his picture like 20 times. Here is a car ride with Scruff MaGruff.

First, after skidding around on the ice, I made Jay stop to take a picture in the mountains.

Scruffu was still exhausted and was resting after our family picture.

Then, later he moved to the window.

Scruffy could not leave out his Dad,so he went to lay on his arm.

Up again.....

 Posing for the camera....
 Laying down again.....
Whining to his Dad...he wanted Jay to play with him and so he whines until Jay touches him.
 Still mad at his Dad....

Back to the place he loves the most..with his Momma!!!
Checking out the snow again.... after this he laid back down and slept.
Thanks for taking a ride with Scruff. Hope you enjoyed it!!

Christmas Fun

Christmas was fun but busy for us. First of all this Christmas Eve Eve, I had surgery which slowed me down a bit. I did not take as many pictures as I should ,but I was medicated people!!
Scruff and his Gandaddy at my house.
Christmas Eve we went to Mom's to have Christmas with my Uncle Steve's family.
Here are a few pictures of us before we went to their house.

After that, we went to Jay's parents for the Headrick Christmas. We got home late and since we have to get up early and go Jay's Granny's house Christmas morning, we decided to open our presents on Christmas Eve.
If you read my blog earlier, think back to Christmas Repeat, and here it is. I have it on video. I will have to upload it. Poor Jay was so sweet and read it again and said, " I like that. I will have to put it with the other one I have." I said, " What other one? This is the one from last year." We laughed and laughed. We needed a good laugh- we had a rough week of doctors, hospitals and bad news. Notice the Victoria Secret bag I put it in.
Scruff loved his stocking. We videoed him playing with his toys and I really think he was excited.

My Christmas from Jay- a Chi hair iron, AU stuff and a Roomba.
Jay Christmas- He got tools and clothes.

Jay and I at his Granny's at 7:40 Christmas morning. We live the farthest away and we were the first ones there.

After Granny's, we go to David and Christi's for our Christmas. Here is a pic of Hannah and I on Christmas. Isn't she a cutie?

Scruff loved Hannah on Christmas. He usually does not know what to think about her. But on Christmas, he sat beside her and watched her. One time, he threw his toy at her wanting her to play- it was too funny. Scruff also got a little protective and if she cried he would run to her. It was so sweet.
Christmas night, we went to Mom and Dad's for our Christmas. It was fun. I'll have some pictures later.

Sunday, we had the Mitchell Christmas. Because of the snow, 11 of our family did not get to come. This was our family pic from that day.
Here is the Roomba in action. I have two words for you- LIFE CHANGING!!!
Seriously, I am in love. I just used it today. It swept my floor for me. Yes, it takes a
while but it is wonderful to do other things while the floor/carpet is getting done.
Jay and I were so amazed that we followed it around for a while as it worked it's magic!!

Christmas Decor

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We did and I am sad it is over.
I thought I would share my Christmas decorations from this year so next year I can look back.

My mantle with our stockings. Can you guess who the Santa stocking was for?

                            Above the TV

       The Dining Room

Some in the kitchen...The oranament and box candle holder
came from the DG. I thought they were pretty cute.

My snowman I got this year from Hobby Lobby.

Our only outside decorations- not Christmas Vacation I know.

The next ones are some of my ornaments.

I got these reindeer at Walmart for 1 dollar. I love them and had them all over my tree.

My Mom thinks this says, " Peace, Hope and Jay"
I got this ornament last year at the Rockette's Christmas Show in Birmingham.
It was a great show and I love having this ornament to remind of the show.

                                                      What a cute Santa....
My snowman candle holder...

The tree before we left on Christmas Eve....

Scruff is not Christmas decor but I had to share this one. The Christmas Festivities wore out Scruff MaGruff. Him was exhausted and had to sleep when he was at Ganmama and Gandaddy's house.

Two down, more to come

I love Christmas!! My favorite part is getting together with family I do not see as much I would like too. The weekend before last, we had Christmas with Aunt Morene. She just had her 99th birthday. We sang Happy Birthday to her. She loves her family and is so precious!

We had a wonderful lunch and I had the wonderful pleasure of holding Reese Cup Robertson. Yes, I am the baby whisperer and got her to sleep. I was loving holding that sweet baby!!!

Jay was not sure about holding Reese Cup but he did. Look at the way he is holding her. He said this is the way to their heart. Apparently, some baby has told him they like to be free to move and look around. They do not like to be held down where they cannot see. Thank you Jay for your abundance of baby knowledge.
I think Reese liked laying on Jay's belly and being free. Doesn't he look like a natural? How sweet.

Here are some family pics from that day!

This past Sunday, we got together at Mom and Dad's with Aunt Debbie, Uncle Ricky, Greg, Courtney, Adam, Elena, Reese, Mom, Dad and Josh.

We had a great time eating, complaining of the woes of teaching and watching some precious footage that is nothing short of TV gold. We watched home videos of Adam, Greg and I when we were 2 to 4 years old.We were some cute kiddos. Josh was not born so he was not in any of them. They were so funny. Not only were we cute but we saw some precious hairstyles and outfits, courtesy of the 80's, of our parents and relatives.Wowza is all I can say!!  It was fun and I hope we can get together again soon!!
Look at Scruff MaGruff, him is sitting with his GanDaddy. Yes, that is what Scruff calls him," GanDaddy."
