Those people

Much to the dismay of my husband, Scruff MaGruff has been.....gasp...sleeping in the bed with us. Yes, I know, I cannot even believe it. I never thought in my 26 years of life, I would be that person with a dog, let alone let him sleep in the bed with me. Let me clarify for all of you in shock: Scruff sleeps on top of the comforter at the end of the bed. Well, he is supposed too.
This is how it started. Every night poor Scruff gets put into his room with the gate up. So, I started letting him come and lay with me on the bed for a little while before Jay would come to bed. Then, when Jay would come in, he would be the bad guy and take him to his room for the night. Well, about 2 weeks ago, Scruff would start shaking when we would take him to his room. Not only then, but even if I mention the word B-E-D, he would start to shake. It was very, very sad!!! People may say that dogs are not humans but Scruff has alot of  " human" qualities. Sometimes he is like a child and it took me back to all those nights I was forced to sleep alone so I looked at Jay and said, " I just can't do it. Please let him stay with us." So, we did and it has been fine up until last night.
Last night, Scruff was up all night long. He walked around, played and did everything else you can imagine. Needless to say, we did not sleep good but I have no idea why neither one of us got up and put him up. We just tossed and turned until the clock went off at 5:00. Unfortunately, Scruff will be banished to his room tonight, according to Jay. I am already sad about it!!
Admitting is the first step, so I admit that I am one of "those people". "Those" people who get upset, wrapped up and consumed with the life of their furry legged friend. Even when I was standing out in the middle of the street, in the rain, crying for Scruff because he had run away, in clothes that did not match, late at night, I did not want to admit I was "that" person.
Even when I called my Dad( aka Big Horn, Robert S), to come to my house, while I was at school,  to check on Scruff because he was sick and I was scared, I could not admit it.
However, the bed thing just totally goes against every fiber of my being, so I know I am officially part of " those" people!!!

Are you kidding me?

Well, I had a fun weekend planned. It started off great. Saturday, Brandi, Allison, LaRae, Anna Kate and I loaded up and went to Krystal's house for lunch. I was very excited to see MaKenna's nursery; it is going to be so cute. We had such a good time catching up, talking and watching Anna Kate play. I have no idea what we did before we had kids at our gatherings. We missed you Elena and Reese!
Here are some pictures from Krystals house....

I got home on Saturday night, ate at Burger Quick(yum), and procrastinated about making some peanut butter pies I needed to make for Sunday night. Well, here comes the, " Are you kidding me part?"
Sunday morning I woke up horribly sick- I was sick all day. We had a party at our house and I had to stay in the bed. My sweet husband had to do last minute cleaning, make pies and check to make sure I was alive all day. This is what I get for not making those pies on Saturday and just thinking I had another day to do it.
Monday morning, I still felt horrible, so I went to doctor, and he sent me to the hospital to get fluids. When I told Jay what the doc told me, he said, " Are you kidding me?" Apparently, he had big plans for the day- not sitting in the hospital watching an IV drip. I did feel human by the time I left the hospital and had a little color.
So, next time you think you can wait a day to make a pie....don't even think it!!!

Cake, Cuties and Champions

We surprised LaRae for her birthday at lunch a couple of weeks ago. I was very excited to see some of my favorite kiddos- Anna Kate and Reese. We did not get a group shot but I did get pictures of the children.
Here is Anna Kate up from her nap looking so cute!!!
LaRae's birthday cake- it was yummo!!
Reese Cup- I love this picture. She looks like she is saying something.
Licking on Allison's shirt- so funny!!!!
Anna Kate assisting in a diaper change to which she said, " Yuck!!"
 Ready to hold Reese...
 Sweet girls....

Poor Reese was trying to stay awake to listen to all the news but she fell asleep. I had to sneak these pictures because as soon as I mentioned a camera, her little eyes opened.

Next time girls, we will have to get a group shot.

WAR EAGLE!!!! Sing along with me, " We are the Champions my friend!" I love me some AU football. I was very excited we had power and could watch the game. Mom, Dad and Josh came to watch the game with us because they did not have power. We had a good time. Jay HATES for us to match but it just happened so I had to document. I love football season and I am sad to see it come to an end. Can't wait till next season!!

New Years

We had a great New Year's Eve. Jay and I went to Allison and Jared's house. We had a blast. Brandi had a new game, Just Dance 2,she wanted to play, so I brought my Wii. Alli, Brandi, and I danced all night long. Not only did we enjoy it, but Allison said Baby W was kicking like crazy. Jared, Justin and Jay played pool, danced together( which was precious) and almost blew themselves up with fireworks.
I videoed the dancing but unless I get the clear from 2 men or their wives, I will not post it. Jay threatened my life the other night when I was videoing!
We attempted to make a picture but we had crazy eyes, which reminded us of Krystal who used to always have to retake a picture because of her crazy eyes.

Sorry Alli, I had to put this one up. I had like 10 pictures on my camera of Allison and I doing this. It was so funny!!
We finally gave up and went inside and Jay took our picture. No crazy eyes here!!

Thank you Allison, Jared, Justin, Brandi and Jay for a great night!! I really needed it.
